Lancs Surfacing recently undertook a 250 square metre job of block paving, after an enquiry, the quotation was carried out and the client was happy to proceed with the installation.
The installation took place in Sale, Manchester. The job consisted of a full dig out of 8-inches and then the application of Type 1 MOT which is the standard base layer material for roads and driveways.
After the installation of the base layer of MOT the next stage is to install a compacted Geotextile membrane which is used to make sure that there is a separation between the base layer and the block paving while also providing filtration, reinforcement, protection and drainage.
After the installation of the geotextile membrane, the last stage before actually applying the block paving itself is the application of eco-drains.
Finally, the last step is the installation of the block paving using a brindle one charcoal Marshall 50millimetre block pavers.
